System Requirements

• Apple silicon Mac (M-series). Intel Macs are not a supported target.
• macOS 13 Ventura or later. Newer macOS releases are recommended.
• Local storage with enough free space for your own recordings, photographs and show packages. Video recordings can be large; plan storage per production rather than per app.

An internet connection is needed for the first download, for activating a paid licence, for the daily licence refresh, and for updates. A paid licence is active on exactly one Mac at a time, and you can deactivate that Mac and activate a replacement. Day-to-day show work does not need the internet: previously validated paid access remains usable offline for no more than seven days from the last successful signed licence check. KoalaCue warns you beginning three days before that window expires and shows the time remaining, and returns safely to the Free plan at expiry if it cannot revalidate — your local show files, recordings and documentation are never deleted, damaged, encrypted or hidden. Connect briefly before a production if you expect the venue to be offline.

• Your Mac must be on the same reachable network as the ETC Eos console for live functions such as following cues.
• Wired Ethernet is strongly preferred on show networks. Wi-Fi is fine for documentation work but is less predictable during a performance.
• Connect using a dedicated Eos user rather than sharing a user with a live programmer, and make sure any venue firewall or VLAN allows the Mac and the console to see each other.

• An optional compatible camera or capture card, and the audio input devices you want to record. Recorder uses a shared camera view and the audio source you select.
• USB, UVC-class and capture-card devices vary widely in supported formats and frame rates. Test the exact device, cable, resolution and format you intend to use.
• Free does not include Recorder or Review. Those are part of the Recorder and Full plans.

macOS asks for Camera, Microphone and Local Network permission only when a feature you are using needs it, and KoalaCue asks for nothing beyond that. You can change or withdraw any of them in System Settings → Privacy & Security; the feature that depends on the permission then stops working and nothing else changes. See the Privacy Policy.

• iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 16 or later.
• The same local network as the Mac running KoalaCue, with Local Network permission granted.
• Companion is a remote surface, not a standalone console app: it needs KoalaCue for macOS to connect to. See Companion support.

KoalaCue does not replace ETC Eos, is not an ETC product and is not a safety system. Test your exact Mac, network, console, camera, capture format and audio setup in the venue before you rely on it in performance, verify on the console that anything you send did what you intended, and keep independent Eos and show backups.
